Hiatus

I have been so blessed the last 5 years with devoted customers and a very supportive family.  As you could imagine running a photography business is a full time job. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that take up a lot of my time and the time I have to spend with my family.  I’d love to say I have it all together but as I’m sure most mom’s would say, with kids its almost impossible to have it together. Once you think you have it figured out you get thrown a curve ball and you have to figure out how to make it work all over  again.

As everyone knows I have two kids of my own. My youngest has had some challenges, for the first year of his life unbeknownst to us he couldn’t hear. This has put him behind in his speech and is now leading us into a lot of upsetting fits because he can’t communicate to us what his little mind is thinking. I have decided to take a small break from photography to focus on him to find him the help he needs and to get him caught up with other children his age.

As of now I’m just taking the next couple months off  and hope to jump back in, in January. Until then I plan to spend more time with my kids, help out in Ashlyn’s class room, get Austin into speech, play cars, barbies, pull out the paints and play dough and ENJOY my babies while they will still have me. =)

I hope everything goes well for you and your family!! Enjoy your kids to the fullest! When ever you want to get together let me know :)

  2. Amber I hope you find an path towards happiness and hearing for your son. Have you heard of Signing time with Alex and Leah? It teaches simple sign language to children so they can learn some basic communication necessities. My daughter who is 3 loves them and has for at least a year now. Enjoy your family and your break;-)

  3. You will never regret the time you spend with your kids. Little ones grow up so darn fast and even though technology changes at break neck speed, you won’t lose your knowledge and you will be able to pick up where you left off.

    Beautiful little boy BTW.
